|Courtney and rescue dog Lucy on Mt. Washington summit|
This is Lucy, a rescue dog, and her owner Courtney.
Lucy is the first of many rescue dogs that have received a donated dog wheelchair since the Walkin' Wheels product line was launched in August 2008.
Lucy was rescued from the streets by Second Chance Animal Rescue of Puerto Rico. She had been hit by a car and was left paralyzed by the side of the road.
Since 2008, Lucy and her Walkin' Wheels have gone on to claim the fame as the First Dog in a Wheelchair to Reach the Summit of Mt. Washington.
HandicappedPets.com has helped numerous other rescue dogs with donated or discounted Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchairs. We believe that every paralyzed dog in need of rescue should have a home and a Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair.
Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchairs are also the ideal canine cart for rescues and animal shelters because they are fully adjustable in height, length and width to accommodate different sizes of dogs and various levels of mobility from partial to complete paralysis of the rear legs. The Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair requires only one simple measurement of a dog's height and ships the same day that you place your order.
To assist our non-profit rescue groups and animal shelters in making adoption a reality for more disabled dogs, we are offering a limited time discount of 30% off all Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchairs purchased by a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal charity. The RESCUE 30 dog wheelchair discount promotion begins on Monday, April 16, 2012 and will conclude on Thursday, May 31, 2012. The discount only applies to Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchairs, and all orders must be placed by telephone to HandicappedPets.com at 888-811-7387.
Rescue groups and animal shelters will be required to provide proof of their 501(c)(3) non-profit status to obtain the discount. All sales will be final. No returns allowed, but product exchanges can be made.
