Helping Paralyzed Dogs Defy the Odds

"All the vets have said, no, no movement, she will never get it back, she doesn’t have reflexes, but that’s typical of what’s in your veterinary books," Andrea said. "We’ve defied the odds."   ~ Andrea Stewart in an interview about her dog Calypso with The Redstone Rocket

When we read the story of our friend Calypso Stewart in The Redstone Rocket today, it reminded us how important a Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair can be to a dog that has suddenly become paralyzed.  In Calypso's case, the availability of a Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair made it possible for her family to provide care for her immediately, and it also allowed them time to seek second opinions and become familiar with canine rehabilitation options.
