While living with an elderly, injured, disabled or otherwise specially abled pet can be challenging, it is also a cause for celebration.  Injuries and illnesses in our pets that were once considered incurable or unmanageable now have a wide range of treatment options.  Advances in surgery, physical rehabilitation and assistive devices such as dog wheelchairs are providing pets with a high quality of life while extending the human-animal bond.

HandicappedPets.com offers products, services and support to assist caretakers of pets with special needs.  We join with our caretakers around the world in celebrating National Specially Abled Pets Day on May 3rd.

If you are in the Los Angeles area, please stop by and visit Two Hands Four Paws Canine Physical Rehabilitation for their First Ever National Specially Abled Pets Day Event.  HandicappedPets.com is a sponsor for the event that is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013.  For more details and to RSVP, click here.
