Children Creating Awareness for Dogs in Wheelchairs

Luca's birthday celebration
Madison, an 8-year old German shepherd that suffers from degenerative myelopathy, recently started using a Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair.  Madison loves her Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair because it allows her to remain an active part of her family.  She enjoys playing Frisbee and spending time with her human sibling Luca.  Madison's pink Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair has truly improved the quality of her life since being diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy.

Luca recently celebrated a birthday.  He wanted to share his message of hope for his own dog Madison and for other dogs in wheelchairs.

Party favors with dog wheelchair wind up toys
As part of his birthday celebration, he provided Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair wind up toys as party favors for the guests who attended.  The children loved the party favors and sent us these photos to share on our blog.

The message on the party favors read, "One of my favorite things in the world is my dog Madison, and we are spreading the word that dogs can live a normal life despite being handicapped.  Love, Luca and Madison xoxo"
