Run Forrest Run for the Rescues

"Run, Forrest, Run!"  Who can forget those famous words made popular by the character Jenny in the movie Forrest Gump?  Well, the team at HandicappedPets.com couldn't help but smile when were contacted recently with a request to help another "Forrest Run" in the Race for the Rescues.

This Forrest is a 12 1/2 year old German Shorthaired Pointer who is also a rescue dog himself.  After spending nearly 11 years with a wonderful adoptive family, Forrest was recently diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy.  Now, Forrest and his Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair will be participating in this special fundraising event.

California German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue is one of several animal welfare organizations that will benefit from this event.  We hope that you will join us in supporting Forrest in his efforts to raise awareness of the importance of giving homeless animals a second chance through adoptions.

Please join us in supporting Forrest in the Race for the Rescues!  There are options available for pets that are experiencing mobility problems, and we feel so privileged to be a part of helping Forrest continue to lead a happy, healthy and active life!
