Heath's Haven and Walkin' Wheels Rescue Dogs

The homeless dogs residing temporarily at Heath's Haven Rescue in Athol, Idaho are powerful proof that, "Life doesn't have to be a drag for a handicapped pet." Watch as this pack of handicapped dogs, with levels of paralysis ranging from partial to complete immobility of the rear legs, run and chase one another in the hopes of capturing a highly prized dog toy.

We agree that this video is fabulous! If you love watchin' these Walkin' Wheels dogs at Heath's Haven rescue, please like and share! #walkinwheels #droptheg

Heath’s Haven Rescue & Sanctuary is a special needs rescue for dogs with neurological issues, spinal injuries, paralysis, and mobility issues. They rescue dogs from euthanasia in shelters, have them evaluated by a neurological specialist, that provides necessary diagnostics (MRI, Spinal Taps, X-Rays, etc.), start them on a rehabilitation schedule of hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and physical therapy, then provide them with wheelchairs. Based on the severity of the dogs' impairment, they then adopt them out.
